If social media does not keep updating on a regular basis, there is no way it can maintain its popularity among the consumers because of the highly competitive platform it has become. For instance, well-established YouTube users who have many views, likes, subscribers, shares, and YouTube video views, the truly valuable customers, have been using the platform long enough to be tired of the layout. YouTube recently made such an update with its layout that is aesthetically not very different but has made several feature adjustments. The major changes to the layout are the thumbnail sizes, the number of videos visible, and the channel analytics.
The Major Changes Include:
Larger Thumbnails
The thumbnails displayed on the homepage are now larger in size and fewer than before. This helps make the homepage less congested.
New Analytics
The analytic section has seen a major change in both layout and design. The analytics are more organized and less complicated. New analytics have been added for creators including the click-through rate (CTR).
Dark Mode
Like most other social media applications, YouTube has also introduced its Dark Mode that gives better aesthetics and viewing experience. To turn on your dark mode on the desktop, visit the three-dot menu on the top right corner and select the item “Dark Theme”.
