Initially, when YouTube was testing its new interface, the layout was not available for everyone before 7th March. During that time to the present, a few lucky YouTube users were contacted by YouTube via email offering them to test the new layout by a link.

No, however, the new layout is open to everyone using YouTube so you will have no trouble updating it. To apply the new layout to your channel, follow the given steps.

Step 1: Log into your account on your desktop or smartphone device

Step 2: Click on the “try new design: a button that you will see on the top corner of your channel page.

You can switch back from the new layout using the following steps:

Step 1: Open YouTube and log into your account

Step 2: Click on your Avatar and open the “YouTube Studio” option that you will see in the pop-up menu.

Step 3: Click on “Creator Studio Classic” that you will see in the bottom right corner.

Step 4: Doing so will open a pop-up window. Select one of the given reasons for switching back and click on “Submit”. If you don’t want to give the reason, click on “Skip” and revert to the old interface.
