Procedure
Following is a procedure to upload the picture and automatically resize it through Instagram.
- Tap + button at the bottom center and scroll down the post category.
- Select the photo you want to upload from your gallery or you might take a new picture.
- Once you have decided which photo to upload select it, you will be shown the frame
- Here you can either resize it as you like
- Instagram will crop your picture and resize it. You can also zoom it or drag it upwards and downwards as you like to crop the resized photo.
- The size of the photo can be altered by pressing the option at bottom left of the picture. It provides two sizes of either landscape or portrait mode
Auto cropping usually does not give a refined aesthetic idea to your whole profile and people sometimes prefer that their pictures shouldn’t be cropped while resizing them. On Instagram, it really matters what your overall profile looks like. A well-arranged and stylish profile helps in a gain of more followers and likes on Instagram and videos that are aesthetically appealing. It also attract more Instagram views and following. If you don’t like your pictures to be cropped and want the picture with the original frame to be uploaded, there is nothing to really worry about. There are a lot of software and applications that can be used to resize the pictures according to the desired size i.e. 1:1, 4:5 or 1.91:1 aspect ratios, without affecting the resolution of the pictures. Some of these software are Inshot, Square InPic, Square Pic, and No Crop & Square for Instagram. When you have resized the picture from another application, you can save it in your gallery and simply use the same procedure to upload your photo.
